School District to Participate in Haiti Relief Effort

The Southeast Kansas area is promoting Semi For Survivors: A Community Haitian Relief Effort to help the country of Haiti. The organization's plan is to collect donated items to fill a semi truck for Haiti. The Northeast School District has been asked to be a part of this effort. The items collected will be donated to two organizations: Hearts to Heart and Convoy of Hope. Boxes will be placed in the commons area of each school to collect the items. Flyers have been sent home with students with details about items being collected. Donations will be accepted from February 1st - 28th.
